Whispering Pines Hiking Trails

Whispering Pines is a small area of land between several lakes of the Upper Chain with towering pines and a pier.  Small hiking trails wind down a stone staircase to the pier and other parts of the shoreline.  This part of the park is not connected directly by land with the main park of Hartman Creek, and it can be accessed either by the Whispering Pines parking lot off of Whispering Pines Road or by boat to the pier on Marl Lake in the Upper Chain.

Sights:

Towering pines, a ground covered with orange pine needles, and many views of Marl and Pope Lake and the channel in between can be seen from this part of the park.

Winter Use:

This part of the park is closed for winter use, and the gates to the parking lot are closed late fall to mid-spring.

Getting to the Trail:

This part of the park is separate from the other part of Hartman Creek and is accessible by a parking lot off of Whispering Pines Road or by boat to Marl Lake in the Upper Chain.
