Hartman Creek State Park is home to 9.3 miles of single track mountain bike trails tucked away in the southwest corner of the park. After a short bike ride from the parking lot (Campground Overflow lot by the baseball field), the trails split off from the single-track trailhead. There are 3.7 miles of easy, 3.5 miles of more difficult and 2.2 miles of very difficult trails.
The trails and obstacles are maintained by the Cronies Trail Crew. Trail status and updates are posted on their Facebook page, and you can contact them or the park office (715-258-2372) to check on the current conditions.
There are also paved trails for biking between the campground and the beach & playground, as well as on the roads in the park.
Bikes can be rented at the park or in downtown Waupaca from Adventure Outfitters. In the summer, Adventure Outfitter runs a outpost with rentals at the beach at Hartman Lake. Please contact them for more rental information.
A state park trail pass is required for riders 16 years and older while biking in the park. Passes can be purchased at the park office, or through the Saddlebags Riding Club here - purchasing through them also benefits the Friends!
