Friends of Hartman Creek State Park

Hello and welcome to Hartman Creek State Park, a 1500 acre park in the rolling hills of Waupaca & Portage counties.  Our Friends Group works hard to keep this park the great place as it is, and continue to improve it for both wildlife and visitors.  Please explore our website to find out more about the Friends, the park and the Waupaca area.

If you'd like to get involved - great!  Visit our Volunteer Page for ways you can get involved, contact us via our Facebook Page or call the park office at 715-258-2372.

Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe & Hike

The Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe & Hike has been rescheduled for February 16th, 2019.

Our annual Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe & Hike! Come out and explore the park trails by candlelight, starting & ending by campfires & snacks at Hartman Lake Shelter. There will be ski trails around Pope Lake, and hiking trails around Hartman Lake and in the woods north of the lake.
Purchase your park pass early and avoid the line! The event is free, but you do need a park pass to enter the park (either the annual sticker or a daily pass).

Updated times - because of the reschedule, we're starting a little later so it can be darker for the candlelight.

If you'd like to help out, please call the park office at 715-258-2372 - we need people to help direct traffic, place & light candles, bring snacks and more!
