Friends of Hartman Creek State Park

Come enjoy Hartman Creek State Park - 1500 acres set in the gentle hills and prairie of central Wisconsin near Waupaca.  A great place for camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing, geocaching, fishing or many other activities!  Come explore - if you have questions or comments, please let us know on our Facebook page.

Candlelight Ski January 27, 2018

Bring your skis (or snowshoes or hiking boots) out on January 27 from 5:00-8:00 to ski, snowshoe or hike by candlelight along the trails of Hartman Creek by candlelight, and then enjoy refreshments around the campfire.  Buy your park sticker early to avoid any lines into the park!  Candles will help guide your way from the entrance to the parking lot, from where you can ski the Pope Lake trail (snow permitting) or snowshoe or hike the trail around Hartman Lake and the trails north of the lake.

The Friends will be providing refreshments at the Hartman Lake Octagon Shelter by the parking lot - warm drinks and food and campfires outside.  There will also be grills going if you want to bring out some steaks, brats or hot dogs and cook them up!
